MAPS (Science)

Good morning pupils!

I'm writing to you for recommend you a good Website about maps, which is very very funny!

You only need to click the image and then you can play. There are 4 levels: 1 is easy, 2 & 3 are medium and, finally, 4 is hard. The only "problem" is...that they are in Spanish. However, I guess this is a great way to learn "Provincias" and "Comunidades Autónomas".

I hope you'll like it!!!

Lots of love,

SINCE AND FOR LIST (ENGLISH)

Good morning pupils!

I put you a little list of sentences in which we use "SINCE" and another one in which we have to put "FOR".

Remember that FOR/SINCE have more or less the same meaning (SINCE = "desde", FOR = "durante") so we use them in different lexis. Since is for concrete moments in the past but for is for inaccurate dates. Here you have the promised list:

SINCE (desde)

Since I was a child
Since 1999
Since The Middle Ages
I have been very nervous since Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Real Madrid.
My name has been Alejandro since I was born
I was able to vote in Spain elections since I was 18 years old, in 2007.

FOR (durante)

For two days
For a couple of days
For a long long time
For three weeks
For many months
For two hundred years.

As you can see, it's very easy to difference between since and for. I hope you will pass your next English exam with A+ MARKS! (sobresalientes)

NOTE: Remember the little trick for "yet" ;)

General boo!
Alejandro.

SCIENCE. SPANISH ELECTIONS SYSTEM

Hi pupils!!

As you know, Spanish elections is a democratic process and when you are 18 years old you get the rights for vote in free elections. I recommend you to vote whoever you want, but always vote, because it has been very difficult to establish that right for citizens. In the past, when Fernando VII was the king of Spain, only rich men were able to vote.

I tried to get you election papers for today's class but it was absolutely impossible. It's very easy to get them when there are elections in Spain but unfortunately they were just one year ago.

However, I have put you four models for you to see them in the blog:

1) Congress paper.

2) Senate paper.

3) WHAT IS THIIIIIIIIIIIIS!?!?!

4) Partido Aprende 6º paper

When you vote in elections, you have to put your choice paper into the develop and, finally, complete your vote. Every citizen has an own school and room for complete the vote, which guaranteès a secure process.

I hope you'll vote for PARTIDO APRENDE 6º. Let's win elections!

BIENVENIDA

Queridos Juan Pedro, Jose, Carmen, Ángelo, Elena, Alejandro, Ana y Alejandra;

¡Abucheo general!
Alejandro Teacher.
